My main committement is on diagnosis, follow up and management of Neutropenia either Congenital and Acguired 

At the moment I’m particulary interested in two projects

• To deepen  the genetic background and the immunological  features of patients with acquired neutropenia including    adolescents and  young adults  ( concrete connection with Adult Hematologists)
• To study the natural history  of SCN patients either treated with G-CSF  or who underwent  HSCT  particular focus  on quality of life    

Pediatric Hematology  with expertise in diagnosis and management  of congenital / acquired bone marrow failure  and  “peripheral” immune cytopenia  

• Morphology of PB and BM
• BM cultures  of HSCs
• Flow cytometry of PB and BM.
• Traditional Sanger PCR for BMF genes
• NGS  WES.panel enlarged to immunodeficiency/immunodysregulation genes 
• Anti-neutrophil antibody (indirect test ) GIFT  read with   FLow Cytometry tecnique
• Telomere length measuremet ( Flow Fish).
• Inflammatory cytokines levels ( ELISA).
