CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Purpose of the Training School:

The Training School on Biobanking is organized by the COST Action CA18233 European Network for Innovative Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Neutropenias (EuNet-INNOCHRON). The Training School aims at covering aspects on biobanking practices and data registration for Chronic Neutropenias as well as aspects regarding ethical/legal challenges, data security and protection. The participating scientists and clinicians will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge via interactive lectures from experts on aspects related to Biobanking and Registries, familiarize themselves with protocols, discuss, and get hands-on experience on biological specimen processing.

The host of the Training School is the Institute of Applied Biosciences (INAB)|Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) Thessaloniki, Greece and Dr Kostas Stamatopoulos’ Department.

To offer a high-quality hands-on experience, a limited number of participants will be accepted.

Application Process:

The application should consist of:

  • A brief C.V.
  • A motivation letter stating the relevance to their research and the value to participate in the Training Course.
  • A letter of support from a senior Researcher/Clinician (preferably but not necessarily related to the EuNet-INNOCHRON project) from their home Institution.
  1. The applicants will be formally notified of the outcome of their application on February 28th 2022 at the latest.

Important Notes:

  1. The selected applicants will be sent a formal COST invitation to the email they have provided and instructions for reimbursement rules for the expenses regarding the whole travel.
  2. The selected participants will be reimbursed from the COST Action EuNet-INNOCHRON for travel costs and will get a fixed amount of daily allowance (for their accommodation, 2 meals/day and any public local transport).
